Pete Dunne

Pete Dunne is an acclaimed birder and author, and is a contributing writer for Bird Watching Magazine, and founder of the World Series of Birding, and is the former director of Cape May Bird Observatory, and vice president of the New Jersey Audubon Society. Since 1976 when he served as the first hawk counter in Cape May, Pete has brought thousands of people to greater awareness and understanding of the natural world.  He has led tours to Antarctica, Australia, the Bearing Sea, Kenya, Ecuador, and Panama.  He has specialized in teaching birding workshops since 1979.

Pete and his wife Linda, who is an accomplished birder, author, and photographer, will be escorting a Caribbean Conservation Trust group to Cuba in April, 2018with CCT lead ornithologist Michael Good and our Cuban team.
